Humpbacks!

4:00pm, Friday July 31st.

We're just off the coast of Taree, staying inshore a bit to avoid a southerly current. We have five on board: Lisa, Kim, Alistair, Michael and Geoff.

Wind is around 20 knots and the boat speed is around 10 knots. We vary between 9 and 14 knots with just the main and hedsail set.

We've been surrounded by humpback whales with one quite close.

We're (still) expecting to be in Brisbane by mid afternoon on Sunday.
